Hattiesburg, MS is proud to serve as the host of MUTA once again. MUTA was held in Hattiesburg once before in 1997, with the Ahua family as hosts as well.
Located in South Mississippi, Hattiesburg is most popularly known as the Hub City, because of its proximity and status as a throughway for major southeastern cities and areas such as New Orleans, Mobile, the Gulf Coast and the state capital Jackson.
With a steady-growing population of approximately 50,000, Hattiesburg is constantly reinventing itself through the diversity presented citizens. The area is home to 2 univeristies--The University of Southern Mississippi and William Carey University--2 major medical facilities, and a newly revtalized Historic Downtown community.
